Jason Calacanis Interview at Penn State

Brooklyn born Jason Calacanis, started a 16 page magazine, Silicon Alley Reporter, in 1996 and turned it into 300-page magazine, with a sister publication called the Digital Coast Reporter for the West Coast. Later, Calacanis co-founded Weblogs, Inc. which had sites under it like Engadget, Joystiq, and much more. Time Warner’s America Online agreed to buy Weblogs, Inc. in October 2005 for an amount reported to be about $25 million, but confirmed to be $30 million at FOWA London in October 2008. This video is an interview he gave to a class of Penn State students about being an entrepreneur. It’s very inspiring. Enjoy.
