Painter: Jeff Soto

Jeff Soto is a Southern California based artist inspired by inspired by childhood toys, the colorful lifestyle of skateboarding and graffiti, hip-hop and popular culture. His work, generally has a darker undertone with blasts of rich colors. I totally dig his style. Environmental issues also take precedent for Soto, who is concerned with conflict of humans trying to harness, or take advantage of nature. His paintings exude this tension, as robotic creatures duel, organic tentacles and flower bouquets thrive, and black smog looms amidst floating, ominous skulls. I got that straight from his bio. Enjoy.

Just an observation, most male designer’s favorite colors are blue and green. I find that funny because 10% of males are color blind and the 2 hardest colors to distinguish between are blue + green. On a side note I love his work, I hope he uses oils!
